Tom Plimmer


Tom works with clients ranging from sole traders to businesses with turnover of more than £70 million, in sectors including construction, call and claims centres – both in the UK and abroad – healthcare, manufacturing, security and data trading.

He enjoys getting to know clients and their businesses, so that he can offer proactive, strategic advice to help them improve their efficiency and financial health and developing solutions when problems arise.

His areas of expertise include working with start-ups, on issues including financial forecasting and raising finance, and advising clients on tax planning opportunities, such as research and development tax credits, capital allowances claims and capital gains tax and VAT strategies on new healthcare facilities.

Other specialisms include audits, improving management information to support high level decision-making and implement lean processes to increase efficiency.

Tom joined AGS as an accounts trainee in 2001 and qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2007.
