If you think of your annual accounts and audit as essential box-ticking exercises that add little value to your business, think again.
At AGS, we use these processes as a springboard to bring you real benefits.
Meeting your statutory requirements is just the start. We’ll also take a long, hard look at your financial and management systems, as well as your expenditure, to identify any potential problem areas, as well as strengths and unexpected trends.
Then we’ll recommend solutions and work with you to put them into place. Because we make sure that we understand you and your business – as well as the industry you operate in and economic factors that affect you – we’re also ideally placed to look for opportunities to improve your business performance.
So very far from being a chore, your audit and accounts will give you the tools – and the confidence that working with our expert team will give you – you need to go forward.
New audit exemption rules introduced in 2012 mean that thousands more smaller companies now have the freedom to choose whether or not to undergo an audit. For those that choose to take advantage of this exemption, there may be circumstances in which a voluntary audit will be a worthwhile investment.
These could include assisting in satisfying lenders when sourcing funding, demonstrating credibility to shareholders and other stakeholders or strengthening financial discipline within the business. A voluntary audit could also be useful to interested parties, such as potential purchasers, in the event of an exit from the business.
