Wolverhampton based accountancy practice, AGS is delighted to announce the promotion of Laura Williams to the position of director.
In her new role, Laura, who has been at the practice for over ten years, will play an even bigger part in the running of AGS.
Laura, who has occupied the role of accounts and audit manager for a number of years, will continue to be responsible for managing the practice’s accountancy team, quality control and ACCA training scheme but, as a result of this promotion, will also be more involved the strategic running of the firm.
Commenting on her promotion, Laura said: "I am delighted to be promoted as director. With the economic progress in the Midlands continuing to soar and new businesses starting up and developing all the time, this really is an exciting time to be involved in the accountancy and business services sector. I intend to make full use of such a wide scope of opportunity in my new role as director."

Before joining AGS, Laura was a successful self-employed bookkeeper, working for several small businesses in and around the Black Country area. Keen to further her career in accountancy, Laura joined the practice in 1997 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000 after which she was promoted to accounts and audit manager.
